Paula Snowden has an extensive background in the government and not-for-profit sectors and across a broad range of social issues including tobacco control, alcohol control, social housing, injury prevention, Māori and Women’s policy.
She was Deputy Chief Executive of the former Alcohol Advisory Council where she led the social marketing programme, and Chief Executive of the Quit Group Trust/Quitline through one of its most successful periods. Paula held roles as General Manager at Housing New Zealand and Director of Community Relations and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at the Accident Compensation Commission (ACC).
She has had a number of policy roles for the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and the Ministry of Māori Development. In all her leadership roles, Paula has focused on addressing equity and on sustainable and effective programme delivery.
Paula has served as lay member on the Nursing Council of New Zealand, on the Board of UNICEF New Zealand and as a Trustee of the UNICEF Children’s Foundation.
She is passionate about making a difference and supporting people and organisations to be the best they can be.
Paula joined PGF Group as Chief Executive in December 2016.
