PGF has been working hard over the last few weeks to encourage people to participate in the Government’s review of rules around the pokies in local pubs, clubs and TABs across Aotearoa New Zealand.

We have set up a webpage with details about the review process, as well as details on what changes PGF believes could be made to make pokies safer. Click here for more information

Our health promotion teams are interacting with people in our communities to encourage the public to make their views known as well.

We are also working with Salvation Army OASIS to host a free online workshop. All are welcome — mental health and addictions professionals, people affected by gambling harm, and the public. The details are…

WHEN: Thursday 14 April, 1:00pm-2:30pm

WHERE: Online via Zoom (passcode: Pokies2022)

The online workshop will cover:

• Why the changes are needed

• What they might look like

• How to make a submission

The workshop will be facilitated by gambling public health staff from The Salvation Army Oasis and the PGF Group.

Finally, thank you to those who have already submitted.

We encourage you to share the word, either online by sharing our video on your personal or organisational social media channels, or by telling your friends, networks and whānau.
